Welcome to the team: The newest furry faces of Context
While the pandemic has strained life for us hoomans, it’s been a great year for pets enjoying all-day pats, lunch walks and Zoom cameos. As animal shelters across the country continue to experience spikes in new adoptions, we’re thrilled to welcome four cuddly new additions.
Meet Mick (Mickey)

From Fetch & Release Dog Rescue
Mickey is a super-smart, social, playful, and sweet 1.5 years old. He’s a 65lb affectionate cuddle bug always trying to squeeze in the best spot on the couch. He’s a great sous-chef while cooking in the kitchen as he is always by my side. During the workdays, Mickey takes the cutest naps where he’s always dreaming about chasing squirrels or balls.

Meet Yuzu
Adoption date: Oct 30, 2020
Yuzu is a playful little bug that likes to get into all my business. He’s especially fond of following me to the kitchen and rolling on the floor, and playing with his water bowl. Wand toys are his favourite: he wants the full attention! He once decided a bag of cat grass was prey and dragged it around the condo and was disappointed when I repotted the plant.

Meet Roux
Adoption date: Jan 27, 2021
Roux is extremely friendly and loves to sit right on your chest. He’s a purrry baby who says ‘hi’ whenever someone walks into the room. His favourite activities include being carried around in the kitchen watching his humans cook or playing with a string on a wand.

An energetic, playful, and super affectionate lil baby who loves cuddles and commandeering whatever pillow a human is currently using to nap on.
It’s been great to see his personality come out over the past few months.
